Vector
Vector is a ruggedised Pixuate edge device purpose-built for smart-road and highway deployments. It runs FreeFlow ANPR for moving vehicles, vehicle classification, and traffic analytics directly at the roadside — processing camera feeds on-device with low latency and no dependence on a remote server. Connecting to IP cameras over RTSP and built for outdoor highway conditions, it is managed and monitored remotely through the Pixuate platform, making it the deployment backbone for distributed traffic-intelligence sites.

Prerequisites
- IP cameras (RTSP) for the lanes or approaches to be monitored; global-shutter cameras for high-speed FreeFlow ANPR lanes
- Stable bandwidth from cameras to the device — roughly 4–8 Mbps per 2MP H.264/H.265 stream
- Adequate illumination — pair with an IR illuminator for night plate capture
- Power supply and network/connectivity at the roadside cabinet
- Weatherproof roadside enclosure and mounting for outdoor highway conditions
Operating Limits
Vector is an edge appliance — figures are on-device capacity and depend on the analytics mix and camera resolution.
